Mubarak and Assad on Trial.
I began to sweat when we learned that we would be on the defense of Mubarak instead of the prosecution of Assad. I thought that we would be doomed defending a man that was both guilty in the eyes of the world and dead. Somehow we pulled through but it was not an easy task. The defense of Mubarak was for me a loss the second we got the assignment, things turned out to be different.
This project fulfilled the content literacy because we needed to understand the charges and evidence to work the trial. We needed oral proficiency because of the trial speeches and witness examinations. Work ethic because we need the drive to make everything work. We needed collaboration because you need a group to make a project work. Critical thinking so you can outsmart the opposing side. Lastly we needed written proficiency because the writing had to be top notch.

The Genocide Exhibit
In this project we had to make a museum exhibit for a 20th century genocide. We got the Bosnian genocide but everyone had to study the holocaust. To study the holocaust we all read the graphic novel Maus. The book covers the story of Art Spiegelman recording his fathers story as a Jew during the holocaust. A big part of the project was being literate in terms relating to the Bosnian genocide, such as places, names, and dates. When we presented the exhibits at the fall art show we had to know these things so content literacy was a major part of this project
Propaganda Campaign
This project was a study of propaganda and the Soviet Union. We read the book Animal Farm and studied the early years of the Soviet Union and the October revolution. What we had to take away from this was how propaganda effects how you think. To best show this we made our own propaganda campaigns, ours being anti-gun control. We had to do a lot of designing and we had to understand the base elements of propaganda art
